Endocrine Management for Transgender Youth

Transgender Health is seeking high-quality clinical and translational research on the topic of endocrine management for transgender youth. Recent studies have shown that stress and gender dysphoria in adolescents can be ameliorated by a gender affirming care model. This article collection will provide a broad overview of the current state of research in this area.

The Journal will consider original research, reviews, and short reports. Transgender Health does not accept case reports for submission. Potential topics include:

  • Psychiatric co-morbidities
  • Impact of family support
  • Management of early pubertal transgender youths
  • Adverse effects of GnRH Agonists in youths
  • Management of late pubertal transgender youths
  • Controversies and areas of uncertainty
