Overview

Brain Connectivity provides groundbreaking findings in the rapidly advancing field of connectivity research at the systems and network levels. The Journal disseminates information on brain mapping, modeling, novel research techniques, new imaging modalities, preclinical animal studies, and the translation of research discoveries from the laboratory to the clinic.

This valuable resource fosters the application of basic biological discoveries and contributes to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to recognize and treat a broad range of neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders such as: Alzheimer’s disease, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, and depression.

Brain Connectivity coverage includes:

  • Structural and functional connectivity
  • White matter tractography
  • Brain anatomy and developmental neuroscience
  • Neural networks
  • Cortical and subcortical connections

Brain Connectivity is at the forefront of connectomics research and follows the progress of the Human Connectome Project and other similar initiatives worldwide.

Brain Connectivity is under the editorial leadership of Founding and Co-Editors-in-Chief Christopher P. Pawela, PhD, Medical College of Wisconsin; Bharat B. Biswal, PhD, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; and other leading investigators. View the entire editorial board.

Audience: Neuroscientists, biophysicists, medical physicists, neuroanatomists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, cognitive neuroscientists, mathematicians, statisticians, regenerative medicine researchers, developmental biologists, behaviorists, neuropathologists, radiologists, imaging scientists, biomathematicians, and computational modelers, among others.
