Jackie W. Franey

Communities Foundation of Texas

Jackie W. Franey is the Director, Gift Planning and Donor Relations at Communities Foundation of Texas where she is responsible for all facets of working with donors and professional advisors in the estate planning process and establishing planned gifts for the foundation. Previously, she managed the planned giving program at Children's Medical Center in Dallas during its successful $150 million wePromise campaign, where she was responsible for all planned giving activities for the hospital. She has previously served as the national director of planned giving for the American Heart Association - National Center.

During her ten years with the AHA, Jackie assisted affiliates in designing, marketing and implementing their planned giving programs and provided technical expertise and training to staff and volunteers. She successfully implemented a centralized marketing program that generated more than $100 million in annual income. In addition, she consulted with affiliates regarding pro-active estate administration.

Ms. Franey is a Certified Planned Giving Specialist, on the editorial advisory board of Planned Giving Today, on faculty at the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary and past president of the North Texas Chapter of NCPG. She has been in planned giving for 16 years and is a frequent speaker at national conferences and planned giving councils.
