Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics is the only peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the use of new devices, drug delivery systems, and software for managing diabetes.
The field of diabetes management is rapidly evolving because of the introduction of recently engineered devices and drugs. This journal focuses on emerging applications of bioengineering tools for diabetes management, including the use of optics, material science, controlled drug release, tissue engineering, informatics, modeling, genomics, imagery, and microelectronic mechanical systems (MEMS).
Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics fosters the development and use of new and emerging technologies to be applied to diabetes, including:
• Alternate insulin delivery methods
• Continuous glucose monitoring
• Artificial pancreas
• Computerized case management/telemedicine
• Detection and prevention of long-term micro- and macrovascular complications
Each issue also highlights recent developments in pharmacologic therapy and device development with original papers, accompanied by analysis commentaries, on the performance of brand-name products.
